Roscoe Lance Harding
Born on September 9th, 1969 in Washington, IN to hippie parents following the summer of love. He was the youngest following siters Lilly; Rose; Daisy; and Flower. Roscoe got his start in the bargain hunting business by default. His father Ruffus Garcia, born Chester Garin, and his wife Patchouli Garcia, born Patrice Haynsworth, were anti-capitalists who survived by imploring the barter system. From their tie-dyed VW Bus they traded homemade goods (and other substances) for food and other necessities. Though against their personal beliefs, they would sell some of their hand-made goodies to tourists in order to buy some of the things they could not barter for. With a limited cash flow the Garcias became quite the competent shoppers, hitting the thriftshop, yardsale, and flea market circuits in the bay area. Roscoe developed a quick eye for spotting value as a child. His parents would not spend much time a yardsales since most of the time the items being sold were of no interest to them. He knew he was working against the clock and wasted no time in spotting the toys or gizmos he desired. He then had the arduous task of convincing his utopia minded parents to buy the item for him. Fighting on two fronts, he would have to get the vendor down to a price his parents would also agree on (without knowing it he was already training as Buck’s spotter).
